Setting up the eMail inChorus Printer Driver

With eMail inChorus you can print directly from a third-party application, such as word processing application, to the Whiteboard. In order to do this, first you need to set up the eMail inChorus printer driver. Follow the steps described below to set up the printer driver for your computer operating system.

Setting a Printer Driver in Windows95 or Windows98

  1. Click the Start button and select Settings -- Printers .

    The Printers window displays.

  2. Double-click the Add Printer icon.

    The Add Printer Wizard begins. Click Next .

  3. Select Local Printer and click Next .
  4. Click Have Disk .
  5. Click Browse . Find and open the print95 folder from the C:\Program Files\Softlink\eMail inChorus\ path.
  6. Select eMail inChorus Printer Driver ( oemsetup.inf ) and click OK .
  7. Click OK on the Install from Disk dialog box.
  8. Click Next on Add Printer Wizard window.
  9. Select the FILE: port for the printer and click Next .
  10. Continue following the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard to complete the set up.

Setting up a Printer Driver in WindowNT

  1. Click the Start button and select Settings -- Printers .

    The Printers window displays.

  2. Double-click the Add Printer icon.

    The Add Printer Wizard begins. Select My Computer and click Next .

  3. Click Add Port .

    The Printer Ports window displays.

  4. Select Local Port and click New Port .
  5. Enter Softlink as the name of the new port and click OK .
  6. Click Close in the Printer Ports window.

    Softlink should now appear as one of the available ports in the Add Printer Wizard window. Make sure that the box in front of Softlink is checked and click Next .

  7. Click Have Disk and select the appropriate drive.
  8. Click Browse . Find and open the printNT folder from the C:\Program Files\Softlink\eMail inChorus\ path.
  9. Select eMail inChorus Printer Driver ( oemsetup.inf ) and click OK .
  10. Click OK on the Install from Disk dialog box.
  11. Continue following the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard to complete the set up.
